Job Purpose:


An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the service administration team and industrial assembly solutions customer centre located in Wolverhampton.

The Role involves taking responsibility for planning the day-to-day work schedules, of our field service engineers, ensuring that all planned service requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities


  • To administer the forward planning of all open orders, ensuring that the department service requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To effectively manage the use of the SPIRIT Field service work flow
  • To support the Service Administrator(s) and to set the Engineers work schedules in order to maximise efficiency and minimise WIP.
  • To ensure the orders are correctly allocated and released to the engineer prior to the visit date.
  • Ensure all specialist tooling (calibration equipment) is available to each engineer to enable them to carry out the allocated tasks.
  • To liaise with customers by phone or e-mail to arrange and confirm the service visits, and ensure they are fully aware of the work and the date the work is to be carried out.
  • Be responsible for providing customers with all relevant risk assessment, method statements and engineer certification as required.
  • To monitor and record the progress of all customer orders to ensure work is fully completed, and any additional work is planned and completed in a timely fashion.
  • To maintain all orders within the SPIRIT, to ensure all work is correctly allocated, so that quality reports can be gathered via SAP/SPIRIT reporting facilities.
  • To regularly liaise with the Field Service Engineers, Service Sales Managers and internal departments to expedite customer requests.
  • To regularly liaise with the Operations Manager and Field Service Engineer Team Leader in order to highlight and resolve any operational/planning problems in an effective and efficient manner.
  • To collate information from the Field Service Engineers in order to accurately record and maintain customer records and information.


Experience/knowledge requirements

  • Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • SAP knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of the company’s SPIRIT service management system
  • Sales company experience

  • Experience of working within a service environment
