Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and experience working with children, particularly those with autism. This role involves educating and communicating effectively with both children and their families, ensuring that each child's unique needs are met. The Specialist will also provide support in toddler care, fostering a nurturing environment for development.
Responsibilities
- Educate children with special needs through tailored learning strategies and activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to discuss progress and any concerns.
- Develop and implement EHCPs for children, focusing on their specific needs and goals.
- Provide support to children with autism, using appropriate techniques to enhance their learning experience.
- Assist in toddler care, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for young children.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers and therapists, to create a holistic approach to each child's development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in special education or a related field is desirable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and families.
- Experience working with children, particularly those on the autism spectrum, is highly desirable.
- A compassionate approach with the ability to educate and inspire children in a supportive manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
