Overview of role
This role is a new function for a very successful Climate and Sustainability Consultancy. They are looking to scale the business and require a collaborative and tenacious individual to directly support the business units to analyse market needs and trends. This will include putting together winning proposals and pitches, and accurately and consistently monitoring business performance. This centralised role is designed to avoid duplication of effort within each Business Unit, and ensure consistency in process and approach.
Role responsibilities and requirements
- Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification
- Assist Business Units with Proposal Support
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive set of documents, templates and tools to support effective business development and delivery.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Process Optimisation
- Project Resourcing and utilisation
- Coordinate and manage various business support projects
Key skills and qualities needed
Essential
- 5+ years of experience in a business development, sales, PMO, or a related role within a consultancy or related industry.
- Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder / relationship management skills
- Commercial mindset and experience in developing high quality proposals
- Organised and systematic approach to managing a busy workload.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Great team working skills
- Excellent project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools.
Desirable
- Experience of data analytics, visualisation and practical business intelligence software apps (e.g., intermediate to advanced MS Excel, MS PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, ETL tools).
- Passion and understanding of sustainability issues from a global perspective.
- Experience of using Xero and/or other web-based business management tools.
