Production Manager (Fixed Term)

Role: Production Manager

Reporting to: Director of Production

Direct Reports: Production Coordinators & Production Intern

Overview: Responsible for overseeing the production of the RTW line, ensuring the production runs smoothly and the Critical path is respected. The Production Manager is also in charge of the day to day management of the mills and manufacturers securing the price negotiation, the quality as well as the delivery to the warehouse in due time.

Responsibilities:

· Manage and plan the RTW production schedule from final sales to delivery across CMT and Fully Factored products

· Manage factory timelines; responsible for achieving seasonal production deliveries according to dates set

· Attend cancellation meetings at books close with Sales and allocate factories for production, mindful of minimums, production lead times and costings

· Raise all the RM orders (fabrics) with support from the production coordinator who will take care of the trims

· Raise production orders for each manufacturer

· Set up the full budget for the season as well as the cashflow forecast for clear visibility on upcoming payment requirements

· Create delivery tracker seasonally and maintain on a daily basis

· Work closely with the Technical Manager to identify pattern priorities and ensure timely production launch

· Work closely with the Technical Manager to review the styles at risk and requiring specific QC process (100% QC / visit on site)

· Outlay the collection ahead of sales, in line with retail targets set by merchandising

· Negotiate and confirm make costs with manufacturers to meet required margin

· Constantly touch base with the Technical team at PPS/Gold seal/QC level to secure early deliveries and attend seasonal production fits

· Manage the Production Coordinator’s set workload and weekly priorities with the team.

· Ensure that all systems (Zedonk / ERP) are kept up to date at all time

· Ability to quickly solve any issues that arise during production with the rest of the team

· Maintain strong relationships with all suppliers along with frequent visits

· Liaise closely with the Accounts department on payments that are due to make sure deliveries are not held due to payment delays

· Report weekly to the Director of Production on the delivery schedule

· Reconcile seasonal budget to ensure all the overheads have been accounted for and fall into the original allocated budget

Essential Skills & Requirements:

· Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role

· Familiar with the pre-production processes

· Experience and understanding of the lifecycle of Product

· Proactive, problem solving and organised

· Knowledge of both Fully Factored and CMT production is essential
