CNC Machinist

Major Recruitment are searching for CNC Machinists for our client based near Oldham. These vacancies are full-time and permanent for the right candidate.

Duties include:

• Operate and program assigned machines to manufacture parts according to the drawing specifications in the most efficient manner
• Conduct inspections on production runs
• Read engineering drawings and job orders to determine job requirements
• Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment
• Perform any other tasks and duties as needed by the business adhering to all Health and Safety procedures

Hours of work and pay rate:

• Monday to Friday on a 2-shift rotation, 36 hours per week
• Monday to Thursday - 6am till 2pm/ 2pm till 10pm
• Friday - 6am till 12pm/ 12pm till 4pm
• Night shift may also be required, Monday to Thursday - 10pm till 6am, Friday - 6pm till midnight
• 36,206.06 per annum for 2 shift rotation, 37,465.40 per annum for 3 shift rotation

Successful candidates must have:

• Completed a Time Served Apprenticeship within a CNC machinist discipline, equivalent to City and Guilds Level 3/ NVQ Level 3
• Experience operating a variety of CNC machines
• Experience with Mazatrol and Fanuc controls
• Familiarity working in a high production environment
