Are you a dedicated senior health care assistant with leadership skills and a passion for elderly care? Join our residential care home in Liverpool as a Unit Manager, where you'll lead a team and oversee the care of 23 elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of a unit specialising in elderly care, ensuring the highest standards of care for 23 residents.
- Supervise and support a team of care staff, offering mentorship, performance reviews, and professional guidance.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families, focusing on the specific needs of elderly individuals.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and care policies, maintaining a safe and caring environment for all residents.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Foster strong relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare teams, ensuring a compassionate and person-centred approach to care.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, and shifts, ensuring optimal coverage, including handling overtime and bank holiday requirements.
- Participate in recruitment, training, and the continuous development of care staff to ensure high-quality elderly care.

What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an elderly care or residential care setting.
- A compassionate, resident-focused leader with strong communication and organisational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of elderly care and the ability to develop and manage care plans that meet individual residents' needs.
- NVQL2 or 3 in health and social care
- Medication Trained
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team to provide exceptional care.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and manage overtime as required.
