Our client is the largest structural steelwork company in the UK, recognised for its iconic structures and engineering excellence, having been involved in the UK's highest-profile builds and complex projects.

We have excellent permanent opportunities for Charge-hand Steel Erectors to work on Hinkley point C in Somerset.

Rates: ECSA pay rates, 28.26 per hour + overtime, 39.57 to 50.87 per hour + Site Bonus of 2.83 and excellent benefits from day one. Accommodation allowance 337.12 per week

Job Responsibilities:

This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with experience in the nuclear, defence, or oil & gas industries.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to maintain safety standards under pressure.

Key duties:

  • Supervise and manage site labour effectively.
  • Oversee work in progress, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Document site deliveries and manage necessary drawings.
  • Obtain and allocate work permits as required.
  • Ensure all actions comply with the integrated management system and health & safety protocols.


Qualifications/Experience:

Applicants must have one of the following -

  • ECITB Diploma in (either): Erecting Engineering Construction Capital Plant Steel Structures / or Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant and Equipment
  • ECITB Skills Test Alternative / Skills Test Number: TER03 or TER04
  • ACE Card
  • CSCS Gold Card for Steel Erector Level 3 Diploma Advanced Craftsman


It is essential that applicants hold a current IPAF certificate and SSSTS certificate.
