This is a full-time position working a 40 hour week
Temp to Perm
This is a community-based role mainly working in conjunction with local councils, schools, parishes and residents to enhance and improve the local environment.
Duties to include but not limited to: - Watering of garden beds, planters, window boxes etc., as required
- Weeding, pruning, cutting back of under-growth etc., to required standards
- Assisting with the grass cutting either by mowing or strimming
- Replacing plants and establishing new planting areas
- Maintenance such as repainting and repairs to surrounding infrastructure i.e. fencing, signage, planter , boxes,litter bins
- Construction of community sheds, planters and fences
- concreting ie shed bases, fence posts and planters
- Decorating and painting of indoor communal areas
- Landscape design
- Planning and preparing of community days and events
- Litter picking to include the emptying and cleaning of litter bins as required to compliment the services provided by the local authorities
- The Reporting of litter hotspots, specific companies (HGV's, delivery drivers) who are seen to be contributing to the dumping of litter, graffiti, fly posters, vandalism and public/ third party feedback to your Supervisor/ agreed contact
- Liaison with drivers of taxis and private hire vehicles found parked-up with idling engines whilst awaiting fees from Heathrow Airport. Advising them to move-on and directing them to AVA
- to operate all machinery and vehicles as required by the demands of the job, if trained/qualified to do
- Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures of which you will be made aware.
- to ensure that all relevant paperwork is complete and processed to deadlines. To include, but not limited to timesheets, daily work sheets, machinery/ vehicle daily check sheets
- Carry out any additional works deemed necessary by the Company to fulfil contractual obligations
- Ensure the appropriate upkeep, as per Company Policies, of company premises, vehicles, machinery, tools and PPE.
- To undertake job-related training where required, to assist with the needs of the business as well as your own personal development.
- To have the responsibility of driving a company van for the transportation of colleagues and other work- associated duties
