O&M PV Engineer (Midlands)

Role: Solar PV Engineer O&M
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Location: Midlands (Site travel)

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems.
• Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance as per the annual plan.
• Report activities performed on-site through an online system.
• Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors.
• Fault finding of both AC and DC systems.
• Conduct job-specific risk assessments and report all near misses to the manager.
• Ensure compliance with all fire, health, and safety requirements.
• Occasionally stay overnight if required and participate in a weekend rota once
trained on remote monitoring systems.

Skills Required:

• Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ qualification in Electrical Installations.
• C&G 2382-18 and C&G 2391-52 or equivalent.
• HV AP qualification and First Aid Trained.
• Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems, CCTV, and SCADA systems.
• 3+ years in Solar PV O&M ground mount.
• Desirable: Harness Trained, Fire Marshal, H/S IOSH qualification, and Central
Inverter manufacturer training.
