Northern Sales Manager, Capital Equipment. Covering the north of Birmingham to Scotland, including Northern Ireland and Ireland. The ideal living location will be between the M62 Corridor and the M8 Corridor.

55,000 Basic, 80,000 OTE + Car Allowance, mileage allowance and extensive benefits

A leading European manufacturer of automation systems is looking to increase its UK business by appointing an experienced sales and business developer to lead market penetration within the North of the UK.

This is a 'hunter' sales role that requires technical sales experience selling capital equipment. Your experience will include selling highly valued equipment with associated finance and service packages. The ideal person will thrive on building a large pipeline of potential sales and be an avid networker.

  • Base salary of 55,000
  • Uncapped OTE, realistic 80,000 in Year One.

The Role of Northern Sales Manager

As the Northern Sales Manager, you will drive sales in the North of the UK. You will develop and execute sales plans, build customer relationships, build an extensive pipeline and close deals. You will also support customers and ensure their satisfaction with the products and services.

What is Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably selling capital equipment or high-valued, complex solutions. The role typically sells to non-business people who need convincing and 'hand-holding' throughout the sales process. Therefore, a patient and consultative approach is needed.
  • A degree in business, engineering or related.
  • You must be a 'hunter' type of salesperson who is happy making connections and building a large pipeline of potential targets.
  • You will be highly motivated, driven and tenacious. You earn a commission on every sale, and the commission scheme is uncapped.
  • Proven track record of success in selling high-value products or services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • An additional European language would be useful but is not mandatory.
