About this role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Full Time Regional Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team covering works across the South West from Devon and Cornwall to Tewksbury and across to Newport in Wales. This role will involve travelling throughout this area on a weekly basis.


Job Purpose/Background:

Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, the Community Engagement Coordinators are responsible for delivering high impact and socially valuable community engagement in their regions. These activities could be linked to clients, our areas of works, selected charities, or third-party organisations that are delivering projects in key communities. Our aim is to leave a positive social legacy through tailored community investment activities.


You must be willing to travel to locations across the South West region on a sometimes daily basis.


Key Responsibilities:

Existing and New Client Responsibilities

· Understand community investment commitments for all existing and new clients

· Utilise the ‘Client Commitment Tracker’ for all clients to ensure we achieve our targets

· Log all activities and communication on the Community Investment Database

· Attend contract pre-start and progress meetings where applicable

· Utilise resident profiling data provided by clients to create bespoke and relevant community communication and activity plans

· Where profiling data isn’t provided, conduct community profiling exercises to ensure all community communication and activities are relevant

· Advise branch where applicable on any changes required to our standard resident communication plans

· Attend Resident Meetings to understand specific community investment requirements

· Conduct resident consultations where applicable

· Meet with residents and end users with specific and individual needs

· Deliver innovative activities in line with client commitments and community needs

· Develop Community Integration in and around areas of work

· Develop and manage client relationships

· Produce client specific activity reports

Additional CEC Responsibilities

· Develop relationships with third party organisations, charities and social enterprises (to be agreed by Community Investment Manager)

· Achieve personal and group Community Investment targets

· Work closely with Business Development Managers to maximise opportunities

· Report all Community Investment activities via monthly reports and any other documentation requested

· Issue weekly social media material to marketing coordinator

· Develop role as Social Media Ambassadors

· Have regular input in the Bell Community Facebook page

· Monthly attendance on team conference call

· Assist Bid team and Head of CSR with submissions in a timely manner as and when requested by providing local knowledge and conducting local research

· Oversee local Bell Decorating Academies

· Manage the Apprentice Recruitment Strategy for the assigned branch / branches

· Complaint resolution when required

· Ensure health & safety compliance throughout all activities / events


Knowledge / Experience:

· Experience in community based roles

· Full Driving Licence

· Ability to engage with diverse community groups

· Ability to develop innovative ideas

· Skilled at developing and delivering project plans

· Ability to work as a team

· Manage and plan own workload

· Ability to prioritise and make smart, informed decisions

· An understanding of delivering social value in a commercial setting
