Senior/Principal Civil Design Engineer - Water

Our client is looking to appoint an exceptional Senior Civil Engineer to work across an array of wastewater infrastructure projects within their experienced team in Exeter. This is a permanent position that requires the successful candidate to travel to office once a week.

Key responsibilities:

• Play a key part in delivering wastewater infrastructure projects, including flood alleviation, network pumping stations, CSO storage and upgrades.
• Produce technical designs, specifications and reports for a large variety of projects in terms of size, type, and complexity, both single discipline and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• You will mentor and manage your design sub-team (project programming and planning and resources).

Key requirements:

• Experience working in wastewater infrastructure across the UK.
• A degree or equivalent in civil engineering or a related subject, working towards a professional qualification.
• Experience managing wastewater infrastructure schemes.
• Good knowledge of industry design software packages.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player with a confident, positive and enthusiastic attitude
• A high level broad-based technical appreciation.
• Very good report writing and presentation skills at project level.
• Good verbal communication - able to discuss work, coach and supervise employees and communicate effectively with clients.
