We are a dynamic and vibrant company seeking a content producer who can lead the content mix across all our activities for multiple niche groups within the overall community we serve. As a small not-for-profit organisation (based in Dorking, Surrey), we value individuals who enthusiastically own their projects and bring their unique abilities and experiences to the role and the company.


While we may be small, we deliver big events on a global scale for our market with shows in a range of locations including Europe, UK, Turkey, Brazil, South Africa, Mexico and the Middle East, and are currently recruiting for an experienced Content Producer for a full-time permanent position.

What we are looking for:

As a leader in our sector, we constantly strive to keep improving our events and wider services to deliver a valuable experience for our stakeholders. Therefore we are looking for a motivated candidate who can develop and implement strategic content plans to extend FESPA's position as a trusted source of insights and connections.


Reporting to the Group Content and Events Manager, the Content Production Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a successful content strategy that drives engagement, brand awareness, and lead generation, from multiple vertical niches within our overall community, whilst aligning with FESPA’s wider events and activities. 


Responsibilities:

  • Create original, innovative, engaging and compelling content for each of these platforms including digital events, podcasts, articles and videos. Develop content in multiple formats for both online and in-person consumption.
  • Continually identify and progress innovative ideas for expansion into new forms of collateral.
  • Independently investigate and develop engaging content to attract and retain community members and readership
  • Regularly engage with our external communication consultancy, journalists, internal stakeholders and community members to drive continued creation of compelling content
  • Repurpose content for sharing to drive and increase visitor numbers, engagement and lead-generation
  • Communicate clearly and confidently at all levels, building relationships quickly and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders internally and externally
  • Continuously explore and broaden your network to source new contributors and commentators to support content submissions
  • Keep ahead of industry trends and information to showcase FESPA as leading destination for key intelligence and horizon scanning within in the sector
  • Support ad-hoc and special projects as needed including standalone conferences and online event series
  • Champion content guidelines and best practices to create high quality communications for a multilingual, international audience
  • Regularly collaborate with the Group Marketing Analytics and Insights Manager to identify patterns and trends in order to optimise performance of content across all channels and platforms


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in delivering demonstrably successful content to multiple interest groups, with degree or equivalent in journalism or similar desirable but not essential.
  • Proven track record and rounded knowledge of creating and leveraging content to benefit the business
  • Ability to produce creative copy demonstrating clear understanding of audiences, and cultural adaptations
  • Comprehensive project management skills evidenced by running more than one content channel concurrently and using project management tools and techniques to track progress
  • Demonstrable ability to understand and interpret data, delivering strategic insights and utilising the information to adapt campaigns
  • Proficiency in using publishing tools, CMS systems and analytics platforms to manage content and track performance
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Organised worker who is able to effectively prioritise their workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrable ability to activate a variety of content types including; Podcasts, Vodcasts, Blog Posts, Infographics, How-to Guides, Social Media Posts, Webinars.
  • Successful track record of taking a proactive approach to writing innovative and compelling content for B2B audiences – demonstrable evidence of ability to horizon scan within the sector, identify topics on trend and new angles to inform the writing of original content to inspire and engage audiences
