Warehouse / Forklift Operative

Firmin Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift/Warehouse operative for our established transport client based in Sittingbourne, Kent. Our client has been established since 1937 and are a family company who run an established transport network operation thorough the UK. This role offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate and is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and forward-thinking transport business.

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

Forklift/Warehouse Operative- Permanent Role

Hours: 10:00 am - 8pm Monday Friday

Sat 07:00 - 12:30 @ £14.75 per hour (overtime rate) worked on a "One week in three" rota basis.

Benefits: Parking, Pension, 20 days holidays + Bank Holidays, Uniform etc.

The Role:

Unloading/loading lorries using a Counterbalance Forklift

Accurate sorting of pallets into correct warehouse bays

Loading/unloading at heights

General warehouse and yard duties

Comply with Health & Safety standards.

Suitable Candidate:

Previous forklift and warehouse experience is essential

Good communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Must be able to work as part of a team and on your own

Computer Literate is desirable

Counterbalance forklift license

Reliable and hard working

Preference will be given to candidates who drive and have a full UK Driving License

Due to the location of my client the successful candidate will need to drive and have access to your own transport.
