Cyber Security Assurance Lead - Lancashire – Hybrid.

£45k to 48k plus 10% bonus, 14% company pension contribution, healthcare, flex bens programme etc

Cyber Security Assurance Lead - required for this Northwest based regulated organisation.

The organisation is looking to build its cyber security capability significantly, is well funded into the millions and development of the security function is driven from the top down.

The security function is investing heavily in the training and development and has its own allocated training budget and training manager.

As the Cyber Security Assurance lead your primary purpose in this role is to ensure the business is compliant against security policy. You will be acting in as an assurance assessor and in the advisory capacity, collaborating with stakeholders and management to improve security posture.

In the Cyber Security Assurance Lead role you will review policies, lead security reviews and ensure business processes comply with cyber security policy frameworks and are operating effective controls.

You will ideally have worked within technology and operated in an information security assurance role or similar risk or security audit type position.

You will have as much of the following knowledge or skills as possible:

• You will have some knowledge of ISO27001
• Some knowledge of Cyber security frameworks would be a bonus.
• Capacity to assist in incident review and support investigations into data breaches
• Ability to articulate security risk simply and effectively with stakeholders
• Background in an assurance, audit, information security type role with real-world experience with undertaking assurance, especially in relation to Supply Chain
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of both technical and non-technical stakeholders

This role is expected to grow as one of the first of several hires and will progress in to leading a team, so potential for future career growth is in this role and organisation.
