Job Title: Residential/Senior Support Worker

Location: Ibstock, Leicestershire

Pay Rate: £12.00 - £15.00 per hour (depending on role and experience), plus £70 sleep-in rate

Hours of Work: 12-hour shifts, alternating between 2 long days one week and 3 long days the next, from 8am - 11pm

Type: Permanent

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

We are hiring for a Residential/Senior Support Worker experienced in providing specialized care for young people aged 7-18 in Ibstock. You will help create a safe and supportive home environment, ensuring children's emotional and social well-being, and promoting personal development and independence.

Duties of a Residential/Senior Support Worker:

Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Providing care and support to children before and after school, including meal supervision.
• Promoting positive behavior and helping with care planning and risk assessments.
• Organizing activities, managing small budgets, and accompanying children on recreational outings.
• Liaising with professionals, parents, and carers, ensuring high standards of professionalism.
• Completing administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting incidents.

Skills and Experience:

As a Residential/Senior Support Worker, you will need experience in:

• Working with children and young people in a care setting.
• Behavior management and care planning.
• Safeguarding and welfare of children.

It would be beneficial if you also had:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
• Driving license.
• Experience with physical intervention techniques.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
