Electrical Engineer

Our Client, a growing engineering firm that specialising across multiple sectors offering bespoke delivery and full service solution. They are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join them on an initial 6 month contract basis. The ideal candidate would be able to commute to the Tameside area one day per week but the client is also open to the idea of a fully remote setup too.

Specific sectors that the successful will work in are: Water, Pharmaceutical, Defence, Waste to Energy.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in Building services engineering

• Experience in using AutoCad to develop electrical drawings, general arrangement layouts

• AutoCad experience in develop the above from existing floorplans provided

• HNC Electrical Engineering OR HNC Building Services Engineering (Electrical) OR Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Demonstrable experience in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering

• Independent worker / self starter; able to receive and complete allocated work with minimal supervision

• Team player; engaging with other engineers to allocate, review and develop work packages as required

• Experience with using the Microsoft Office package (particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams)

• Willingness to learn and expand role into other engineering disciplines and sectors (ie. Industrial)

Desirable skills:

• 2years+ experience in Building Services engineering
• Experience in Industrial electrical engineering
• Experience in Instrumentation, Control and Automation Electrical engineering.
• HND Electrical Engineering OR HND Building Services Engineering (Electrical)
• Demonstratable engineering experience in any of the following sectors: Water, Pharmaceutical, Defence, Waste to Energy

• Responsibilities
• Develop electrical drawings, general arrangements, layouts and supporting documentation according to scopes provided by the business
• Lead on commissioned work and complete documentation according to scopes provided by the business
• Liaise with other engineers to complete work documents as required
• Liaise with senior engineers to handover and complete works ready for sign-off and submission to clients and commissioning agencies
• Develop and build own knowledge and expertise in line with business requirements
