The Senior Director, European Technology is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team to manage and advance the technology platform for Greystar's European business. Through identification of opportunities for technology solutions and effective implementation you will enhance our competitive position and business value. Key Role Responsibilities
- Manages the systems environments' ongoing support & development for Europe.
- Partners with technology & business leaders to develop and implement strategic technology roadmap.
- Regularly partners, presents, and reports to leadership and stakeholders on technology strategies, plans, insights and findings.
- Partners with Asset Execution, Investment & Development teams and Operations Teams to execute agreed technology led elements of business plans.
- Builds a high-performance team through fostering a culture and attitude of innovation, continuous improvement, forward thinking and development of talent.
- Communicates and partners with the other leaders of the Company's Real Estate Services group to identify and plan for resource needs, deliver service and performance level issues, provide input for process improvement, and support strategic initiatives that enhance the products, services, and overall effectiveness.
- Owns systems and data policies and works in partnership with key stakeholders, to identify and deliver effective technology solutions to current business challenges.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with key providers of technical services that maintain an effective balance of cost, control, function, technological obsolescence, user enablement and support.
- Contributes to and works within an IT Governance process established by the company.
- Provides leadership, advisory and/or project management to RFPs (request for proposals) and tender processes in respect to new/system upgrades.
- Develops technology business plans / budgets and expenditure controls in line with the Company's budgeting processes.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Extensive experience of software within the BTR and PPSA sector.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, or by equivalent relevant experience.
- IT literate and fully conversant with all Microsoft packages including Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Intermediate level).
Experience & Skills
Essential
- Proven track record of implementing and operating at scale systems within the BTR / PBSA sector (Property Operations, Investment, Development).
- Experience working in a similar role with commensurate scale and scope in a fast-paced commercial sector, budgeting and business planning.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with impact and influence; including confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders and obtaining buy-in for new ideas.
- Ability to evaluate and identify opportunities from a strategic perspective, including the ability to develop, prioritise and implement plans to meet the organisation's core strategic goals.
- Ability to initiate and support collaborative efforts of multiple teams, including effective communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrates the application and use of general business management acumen to develop strategy, organisational design and provide leadership and direction to team members and managers across the organisation.
- Demonstrable evidence of innovative, fresh and creative thinking, along with excellent judgement and proactive solutions to problems.
- Comfortable using a range of metrics and tools to measure activity.
