HGV Driver class 2

About the job:

Brilliantin Recruitment is partnering with a family-run business looking to strengthen their logistics team with additional HGV Drivers.

The group, with over 300 employees across 7 UK sites, has been operational for nearly 60 years and is a leader in UK haulage and storage, frozen food production, and co-packing solutions.

Due to expansion and winning some exciting contracts, they are currently seeking to recruit HGV Class 2 Drivers based at the site in West Thurrock.

There are a variey of shift patterns available including days, earlys and nights.

Previous HGV driving experience or experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate must have strong geographical knowledge, be motivated, and be able to work independently.

Shifts available

• Days - Monday - Friday shift
• Days - 5 on 3 off - Rolling shift
• Nights - Monday - Friday shift
• Days or Nights - 4 on 4 off rolling shift

Shifts and start times can be negotiable upon interview

HGV Class 2 licence is essential.

As an HGV Class 2 driver, your main responsibilities will include:

- General Haulage

- Pallet Network multi-drop deliveries/collections

- Use of the latest technology i.e. electronic POD devices, electronic walk-around checks (full training will be provided).

- To maintain excellent levels of customer service and represent the company's values at all times.

- To ensure accurate and timely communication with the Transport team

- To deliver goods in a timely and professional manner.

Skills and experience we re looking for in our HGV Class 2 drivers:

Candidates will be fully qualified HGV Class 2 drivers with a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), valid Digi card, and a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules.

- You will be reliable and punctual and have a flexible approach.

- Good verbal communication with excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
