Job Requirements/Description

We are partnered with a dynamic, fast-growing company backed by private equity with a strategic focus on buy-and-build growth.

The Integrations Director will play a critical role in the success of our buy-and-build strategy by leading the end-to-end integration process of acquired companies. This position requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in mergers and acquisitions, project management, and change management, who can drive integration initiatives across multiple functional areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in private equity-backed environments and a proven track record of delivering integration projects that meet or exceed strategic and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration Planning: Develop comprehensive integration plans for newly acquired companies, including timelines, resources, risk management, and performance metrics aligned with strategic goals.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, IT, HR, sales, and marketing, to ensure coordinated and effective integration efforts.
  • Change Management: Drive change management initiatives to facilitate smooth transitions, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and maintaining employee engagement and morale.
  • Financial Synergies: Identify and realize synergies, cost savings, and revenue enhancement opportunities as part of the integration process.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for integration-related communications, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress, challenges, and key decisions.
  • Due Diligence Support: Collaborate with the M&A team during the due diligence phase to assess integration risks and opportunities, providing input on integration feasibility and costs.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor integration progress against defined objectives, KPIs, and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and refine integration playbooks, processes, and best practices to optimize future integrations and support the company’s growth strategy.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential integration risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in M&A integration, management consulting, or related fields, with a focus on private equity-backed or buy-and-build environments.
  • Proven track record of leading successful integration projects from planning through execution, ideally within a multi-site or multi-business unit context.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive results across diverse teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and performance tracking, with a strong understanding of how to achieve operational and financial synergies.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior executives and other stakeholders.
