Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers? We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to manage and maintain accurate financial accounts using Sage Line 50, ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and issue sales invoices daily, and produce customer statements monthly.
- Act as the credit controller, managing customer credit limits, chasing overdue payments, and maintaining up-to-date records.
- Receive and process supplier invoices, ensuring they match delivery notes and purchase orders before authorization.
- Enter supplier invoices into Sage Line 50, maintain the purchase order book, and balance supplier statements.
- Check and prepare monthly expenses, and manage bank account balances.
- Maintain credit limits for specific accounts and manage associated administrative tasks.
Performance Measures:
- Accurate entry of sales invoices and timely distribution.
- Strict adherence to customer credit limits and proactive management of overdue payments.
- Timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and balancing of statements.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Sage Line 50.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience:
- A background in accounts or a related field is essential.
