A rapidly expanding door and gate specialist is currently targeting an experienced Operations Manager to join their team. Applicants can be based anywhere within a 50-mile radius of Luton. The package on offer includes: Basic Salary of 55,000 (negotiable depending on experience), company vehicle with personal use permitted, bonus scheme, and more.
The company
Established almost twenty years ago as a one-man operation, the business has experienced consistent year-on-year growth. They are now on the verge of moving into new premises, which will be double the size of their current location, to accommodate their expanding operations. They employ 24 dedicated professionals, including 14 engineers and 10 office staff, three of whom are part of the senior management team.
The company's staff retention rate is exceptionally high; they've only had one engineer leave voluntarily, and that was due to relocation to a region they don't cover.
The business model is primarily service-based, with 85% of operations focused on service and 15% on installation. They have built strong relationships with facilities management companies and handle a diverse range of products. These include automatic doors from brands like Geze, Record, and Dorma, as well as gates and barriers using products from BFT, Faac, Frontier Pitts, Avon, and Eagle Automation. Additionally, they manage various roller shutters, sectional doors, and high-speed doors, covering almost everything except speed lanes and revolving doors.
They do have a small workshop for minor fabrication but do not manufacture their own products. Their work is concentrated mainly in London and its surrounding areas, accounting for 80% of their projects. For their four national contracts, they subcontract 90% of the work that falls outside their primary geographic area.
The business is ADSA and DHF accredited, and they are committed to investing in training for all engineers and office staff.
