SR2 are currently looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer for a key customer of ours in the AI and Robotics sector!


Location: London based (3 days a week onsite).

Salary: £120 – 140k.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with the engineering teams to help deliver key projects on time.
  • Not only will you be hands-on with the tech, but you will also act as a key leader / one of the main POCs within the cloud team.
  • You will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of updates and releases.
  • Develop and manage IaC scripts (using Terraform or CloudFormation) to provision and manage cloud resources, containers and development environments.
  • Manage and automate configuration of software components and system settings using tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Set best practices and compliance for cloud environments to drive the technical direction of the business.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure your team work together collaboratively to meet the departmental quality standards.
  • Work closely with senior management introduce new ideas that will benefits the wider business.
  • Mentor junior - mid level engineers as the team scales.


Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience working with AWS.
  • Managing public cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform).
  • Good knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes.
  • Scripting in Python, Bash or Powershell.
  • Familiar with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • A history of working in a fast-paced environment.
