Smart Building Project Manager
Location: Primarily site-based, with occasional visits to the East Sussex office.
Role Overview:
Manage smart building projects, ensuring data surfacing and modeling for visualization on a smart building platform. The role requires a high-level understanding of systems including:
- Mechanical & Electrical plant, HVAC/BMS, Air Quality & Occupancy sensors
- Lighting, Vertical Transport, Energy Metering
- Security (Access Control, CCTV, Intercoms), Fire Alarms
- Audio-Visual systems, Structured Cabling (Copper & Fibre)
- WAN Connectivity, UPS Systems, and integration methods
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring on-time, budget-compliant delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Lead project teams and coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and partners.
- Document project progress, control costs, manage risks, and resolve issues.
- Ensure hardware/software orders are processed and delivered on time.
- Monitor the quality of technical work and ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
- Oversee project closure, securing sign-off, and delivering final documentation.
- Maintain updated project files and facilitate lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Participate in WIP and team meetings, reporting progress and addressing issues promptly.
Success Measurements:
- Projects delivered on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
- Effective leadership and team coordination.
- Accurate project documentation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Costs controlled, risks managed, and scope changes handled efficiently.
- Compliance with industry standards.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of IoT solutions, networking, and cloud technologies.
- Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
- Experience in customer meetings, budget controls, and site audits.
- Knowledge of H&S regulations and the ability to meet security clearance requirements.

Desirable:
- Formal Project Management accreditation.
- Construction experience
- Experience with electronic security systems, structured cabling, and containment systems.
