Position: Programme Test Manager Location: Remote Overall objective of the position: This role is responsible for leading the Quality Assurance (QA) function for our Global Audit & Assurance (A&A) delivery. This role ensures the highest quality standards are met across all digital products provided by the A&A service line in Global Office. This is a critical role in ensuring our A&A software delivers a world-class user experience across the network. This role will lead on quality initiatives and expertise in this role will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and security of our software, while also fostering strong relationships with our development teams and external partners. Key accountabilities: Planning Develop, implement and iterate on a comprehensive QA strategy for the entire A&A product suite. Work collaboratively with development and business teams to define and review testing requirements, timelines, and working within budgets. Identify and implement appropriate testing tools and methodologies. Support development of a robust test plan that addresses functionality, performance, security, and user acceptance criteria. Work closely with Project leads to ensure capacity planning is managed and required resources are onboarded in a timely manner. Quality Management Manage and mentor a team of testers, ensuring they possess the skills and resources to conduct effective testing across A&A products. Oversee the quality of deliverables from external partners, implementing clear and consistent QA standards. Establish and maintain a robust issue management process for tracking, resolving, and preventing software issues. Analyse test results and provide comprehensive reporting to stakeholders, highlighting potential risks and areas for improvement. Operational Delivery Support Test Coordinator and Test Leads to oversee execution of all testing phases, including unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products through defined quality gates. Proactively identify and mitigate testing risks and ensure test environments are properly configured and maintained. Continual Improvement Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging QA trends and technologies. Monitor performance of and identify improvements to the A&A QA processes. Champion a culture of quality within the A&A team. Qualifications and Experience The holder of this position should have the following qualifications and experience. understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. least 5 years of experience as a Test Manager, Test Lead, or a similar role with a proven track record in leading large-scale testing programmes. in various testing tools and methods, such as ISTQB, ISEB, PMP, QAI, 9001, ISO, HP, CAPM, SILK, ALM, ADO. knowledge of various testing techniques amd methodologies, across functional (unit, integration, system, acceptance) & non-functional (security, performance, compatibility etc.) knowledge of test management processes, design techniques, and best practices. communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. analytical and problem-solving skills. ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure. Additional Requirements (optional, but desirable) working within the Audit & Assurance or Professional Services domain. Azure DevOps knowledge. working in a global environment with diverse stakeholders. managing and collaborating with external development partners. in ISTQB, Agile Testing, or other relevant QA frameworks. Able to introduce new concepts or strategies that improve the quality of Global IT and A&A services. Strong documentation skills to ensure all documented information, plans and processes are clear and easily understood and adopted by others. Ability to manage, mitigate and resolve risks and issues, both operationally and tactically. Can track multiple aspects of multiple projects simultaneously, being detail oriented and well organised. Able to quickly acquire knowledge of new service elements for complex A&A applications and services. Able to build temporary, matrix managed teams for testing, validation and improvement programs.
