Shack Events are an independent & family run business that deliver bar & confectionary operations at some of the UK’s most iconic Stadia & Sporting venues like Wembley Stadium, Lords CC & Tottenham Hotspurs. Over the last 12 years we have established ourselves as one of the UK’s leading venue concessions partners and are on an exciting journey to expanding our business and move into new markets.


What are we looking for?

Shack Events are looking for a practical, operationally experienced & good leader of people to take on the role of Event Operations Supervisor for our ambitious Venue concessions business. You will be working alongside the Account Project Manager (APM) & Event Operations Manager (EOM) to take responsibility for the execution of all set up day, breakdown day and event day operations for all events at Wembley Stadium.


What is the role?

You will be the lead supervisor for all day-to-day event operations on site at Wembley Stadium which involves taking plans made by APM & EOM and executing them with a team of casual/full time event operations crew on site. It is a hands-on role that will see you leading from the front in the delivery of all day-to-day operational tasks and duties.

You will be responsible for leading all event ops crew working on site (12+) and work with the EOM / Staffing Team to train, develop and grow the pool of casual crew to ensure all are trained, motivated and empowered.


You will be managing stock & equipment at the venue ensuring we are controlling and managing it correctly. For stock items, you will be tasked with making sure all items are being stored, handled, rotated & counted correctly. For the equipment you will be ensuring equipment is maintained, cleaned, used correctly & handled safely.


You will be required to take the lead on due diligence & health & safety on site ensuring all daily & weekly processes are executed correctly so that our people & processes are being safe & compliant.

You will need to be very organised, have good practical knowledge and have a hands-on approach to managing the various operational duties and tasks. The job entails a physically challenging side, with heavy lifting, long days on your feet and working weekends so you must be able to do this.


The ideal candidate will have had strong experience within large event bar operations, demonstrated strong team leadership of large teams, a strong practical ability & problem solving and have excellent communication & collaboration skills.


The ideal candidate will also have good Experience using Microsoft excel, online systems & have good administrative abilities.


Who will you be working with?

You will report directly to our Event Operations Manager whilst working closely alongside our Account Project Manager (APM) to aid them in delivering the events they plan to the highest level.


Where will you be working?

You will be based at Wembley Stadium but may be required to support other venues / events across the country.


When will you be working?

Your work calendar will revolve around the events held at Wembley Stadium and will require you to be on site for the set up, event days & breakdown days. Due to the nature of the events held on site working weekends is a core requirement.


During peak periods there will be times you will be working more than 5 days in a week, but all days over 5 days are given back to you in lieu. Holidays / weekends off are taken during periods of no events at Wembley Stadium.


Set Up/Break Down Day Responsibilities

· Supporting the planning process – switch arounds in between events.

· Creating & managing a daily tasks list for your teams based on plans above.

· Executing the set-up of all units across the stadium

· Sticking to a timeline and reacting to changes / resources.

· Driving Improvements / efficiencies:

· Leading your event ops crew.

· Training, Development & growth of the wider casual pool of crew.

· Managing compliance & health & safety processes and tasks

· Controlling goods in & out


Event Day Responsibilities :

· Event day Team Briefings

· Leading the event ops teams on site

· Delivering stock to all bars pre-event & during event

· Problem solving / fixing issues

· Draught Beer system checks

· Goods in & Out

· Dealing with last minute requests

· Stock & Equipment Management
