Key Responsibilities:

Claims Handling & Investigation:
- Manage claims related to Employers Liability, Public Liability, Products Liability, Contractors All Risks, Professional Indemnity, and First Party insurance.
- Handle claims of greater complexity or value, ensuring policy coverage, indemnity principles, and pre-action protocols are adhered to.
- Register claims with the Compensation Recovery Unit and manage recoverable benefits/NHS charges.
- Arrange appointments for necessary enquiries and conduct witness interviews to gather statements.
- Collect evidence and documentation for disclosure and assess liability.
- Prepare investigation reports using company/client templates, detailing findings and recommendations on legal and policy liability.

Communication & Correspondence:
- Prepare letters, emails, and communications with all parties involved, including claimants, solicitors, policyholders, brokers, experts, and insurers.
- Liaise with insurers, solicitors, barristers, medical professionals, and experts as necessary.

Claims Resolution:
- Negotiate settlements or defend claims, aiming for the most favorable outcomes.
- Assist in preparing cases for trial if necessary.
- Follow quality assurance (QA) processes and ensure compliance with financial authority levels, anti-money laundering legislation, and GDPR regulations.

Client Facing & Business Development:
- Handle client relationships, assisting in business development and retention.
- Participate in risk control tools and Claims Defensibility Surveys to help new client business.
- Investigate higher-value or complex claims and assist colleagues with new business opportunities.
- Handle building guarantee claims when required.

Compliance & Professional Conduct:
- Adhere to company and FCA regulations for handling payments and client funds.
- Act professionally and within set protocols, maintaining high standards of conduct.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Valid driving license (for field-based adjusters).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Willingness to learn and apply new knowledge.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management, able to meet challenging deadlines.
