Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Rotating Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the Discipline Lead in executing various mechanical engineering tasks and assume Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) duties for equipment packages. This position offers the opportunity to lead mechanical scopes on major engineering projects while collaborating with junior engineers, vendors, and project teams to ensure the timely delivery of procurement packages.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Supervision:

  • Execute mechanical scope on engineering projects, ensuring task efficiency and compliance with project requirements.
  • Guide and supervise junior and graduate engineers to meet project objectives.

Technical Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain technical requisitions, specifications, and datasheets for procurement packages.
  • Define Specific Document Requirements List (SDRL) and ensure project documentation is comprehensive.

Bid Management:

  • Evaluate bids and prepare Technical Bid Tabs for thorough assessment.
  • Conduct bid clarifications and assist in the order placement process, ensuring alignment with project specifications.

Vendor Interaction:

  • Attend client and vendor meetings, progress updates, inspections, and HAZOP discussions.
  • Liaise with vendors as the PRE, ensuring smooth progress and compliance with all project requirements.

Inspections & Reporting:

  • Conduct technical inspections of equipment and provide regular project reporting.
  • Ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Design Development:

  • Develop mechanical design basis documents, equipment material requisitions (MR), mechanical equipment lists (MEL), and handling systems designs.
  • Participate in design reviews, material selection, and regulatory compliance processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, specifically within the Oil & Gas or Marine industries.
  • Experience in Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) roles, particularly with equipment such as pumps, vessels, filters, tanks, and strainers.
  • Strong understanding of classification rules, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and mechanical design regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
