Global Data Steward - Senior Manager

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In a world where Data is critical for BCG's success, BCG has founded a new cross-functional team, the Global Data Product Portfolio, to create first-class, foundational global Data capabilities, products, and assets to achieve the following goals across BCG functions and teams:

  • Enable better decision-making?
  • Generate new insights
  • Attain operational excellence?
  • Minimise firm risk

As part of this Global Data Product Portfolio, the BCG Global Data Stewards are responsible, within their corresponding data domain, for the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide Data strategy that democratises the usage of data across the firm by setting key sets of fully authenticated, curated, and globally integrated data products & assets, available on demand to any authorised BCG team.

Under the guidance of their Global Data Owner, each Global Data Steward will articulate and steer the key data initiatives (both functional and technical) in the domain, including the definition and execution of analysis, policies, quality assessments, governance & security frameworks and business processes changes (e.g. workflows) to create and evolve this new set of enterprise-wide products and assets.

Specifically, the Candidate and Recruiting Data Steward will deliver a Candidate and Recruiting Data Governance strategy, a pivotal enabler to BCG’s Transformational programs. You will define and deliver the global data vision, roadmap and change management plan to ensure outcome-based, end to end data capture, governance, and intelligent insight for the Candidate and Recruiting data domain. You will partner with the HR, Finance, Data, Enterprise Services & IT leaders, as well as their corresponding Business Intelligence, Operations and Tech teams to realise the most relevant opportunities to accomplish our ambitious goals for the Candidate and Recruiting data domain.

You’ll be supporting the key transformational HT2 (High Tech High Touch) initiative that aims to bring new tech capabilities to our Talent Acquisition (TA) community by elevating our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) landscape, unlocking productivity gains and enhancing experiences for our recruiters, sourcers, candidates, interviewers, hiring managers, and more.

The ideal candidates will have a goal-oriented mindset and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver Data Governance capabilities and support exceptional Data Products. They will have 5+ years of experience in driving an increase in Data Governance maturity in large, highly complex companies. The candidate will have a good understanding of Candidate and Recruiting Data Products and Services and be well versed in common data opportunities in these areas. Finally, they should have strong communication skills with proven experience in stakeholder engagement (including senior business and technical teams) with the ability to showcase the business benefits of Data Governance.

Among your responsibilities, you will:
