Warehouse / Forklift Operative

My well-known and highly established client based in Stansted are looking for a Warehouse / Forklift Operative to join their team on a Permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a qualified Forklift candidate who is available and looking for immediate starting work.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm & Friday 7am-12pm

The Annual Salary for this position is £28,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)

Main responsibilities as a Stores/Forklift Operative:

• Assist with the day to day running of the Stores department
• Book in and check against order requirements raw materials, consumables and returning parts from outsourced subcontracting
• Receive and inspect a wide range of raw materials in line with specifications
• Ensuring correct material handling and storage conditions are maintained in line with regulation standards
• Book out fixtures and assign with job cards and raw material before loading to CNC Machine tools
• Book fixtures back into stores and place back in their assigned location after operators have completed work
• Performing inventory control, paying particular attention to organisation and that location of material is logged correctly
• Ensure all material is correct to size, grade, release and specification prior to booking in
• Assist in moving pallets of material and tooling to and from stores to the machine shop
• Keeping a clean and tidy working environment while optimising space utilization
• Cutting bar and billet to required sizing
• Ensure deliveries and collections are met and supervised
• Driving of forklift as required

Skills and Experience needed as a Stores/Forklift Operative:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role at Aerospace industry
• Previous experience with regards to conductivity testing and visual inspection.
• Conversant in aerospace documentation
• Computer literate with experience in ERP software and Microsoft Office
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Full UK Driving License
• Counterbalance Forklift license
