MYT Shutters is an Australian Owned plantation shutter manufacturer that have been supplying trade customers globally for over two decades.

We have our own state of the art factories in Australia (Sydney) & China (Zhuhai).

MYT Shutters manufactures everything in house, in our own factories. We specialise & only make shutters for both internal and external use in a variety of materials. We focus on bringing a branded experience and quality product. We really are the one stop shop for the shutter trade.

Every shutter we make is made to order, Bespoke, custom made and designed to perfectly fit in the opening. We work very closely with our trade partners providing training and support to ensure that every order and every installation is done to the highest of standards providing a flawless experience for the end consumer.

Purpose of the role

MYT launched in the UK at the end of Q1 2024. Thanks to our 37 product patents (and counting) we have genuine USPs which has led to massive demand for our products and services throughout the UK Blind & Window covering market worth £1.1bn. The purpose of the England South Account manager is to manage a combination of existing accounts and new customer acquisitions. Growing our market share in the UK and building both our brand and reputation in the UK Market.

The Day to Day

Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own diary, Organising and booking appointments to personally visit our existing or potential new trade partners. Our trade customers can range from a man in a van to multi-million pound organisations with multiple locations. The ability to build rapport with a mixed variety of backgrounds is essential. This is a remote field based position covering the south of England. ( Applications only accepted for people who live in this area ).

This is where you will show case our range of available products to key decision makers highlighting the USPs and our 37 patented points of difference. Negotiating Trade discounts, Supporting with Showroom design and sales samples. Educating trade partner employees on the use and functionality of our unique online ordering portal and shutter builder. Training salespeople on how best to demonstrate and articulate key USPs to the end consumer. Being the product expert, responsibility is to your trade customers (MYT Specialists). Assist them to grow their business which in turn will grow your sales.

From time to time, we will be showcasing our products through UK trade shows and exhibitions such as the BBSA trade show in October. As part of the sales team, you would be expected to attend and support these events to build relationships with potential new trade customers in your area. We also attend global trade shows such as R&T Asia & R&T Stuttgart and with our factories in Australia and China as well as Office/warehouses in the Netherlands you may receive the opportunity for international travel on occasion.

Due to the nature of the role, Field based Account Management regular car travel will be expected and as such a full UK driving licence is essential. This can include overnight stays away from home. Company car, Mobile phone, Laptop will all be provided at onboarding. Full expenses covered by the business.

The person

We are in search of a long-term valued member of our growing team. We are looking for someone with integrity and determination. An ambitious professional ready for the challenge of taking over the UK market to become the number 1 trade supplier of plantation shutters in the UK. We are looking for an adaptable person who can rise to the challenges of the day. Who can self-manage, self-motivate and see the big picture.

Experience

While having experience in the Window covering or similar market may be an advantage it is not essential. Who you are and what you can bring to the table is the most important element. Full ongoing and regular training is provided.

What’s on offer in return

• Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

• Bonus: 2% of the Gross Profit of the sales in your area. (Quarterly)
