Elevate Projects are working in partnership with our client, a local authority, to approach and appoint an experienced interim Building Control Surveyor, a vital role in ensuring that construction projects are safe, sustainable, and meet all legal requirements:
1. Compliance with Building Regulations
- Ensuring that construction projects meet current building codes and safety regulations.
- Reviewing and approving plans, designs, and specifications for new buildings, extensions, and renovations.
- Issuing building permits and other relevant approvals.
2. Site Inspections
- Conducting regular site inspections to verify that construction work complies with approved plans, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
- Identifying potential issues or non-compliance during construction and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to on-site.
3. Risk Management
- Assessing potential risks associated with building designs, materials, or construction methods.
- Ensuring fire safety, structural integrity, and energy efficiency are addressed in building designs and during construction.
4. Communication and Coordination
- Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design or construction issues.
- Providing technical advice and guidance on building control matters to construction teams and developers.
- Acting as a point of contact between the construction team and local authorities or government agencies.
