Regional Sales Manager – Premium Safety Gloves and Footwear

Location: Home based Field Sales position Territory: Yorkshire, North-East England up to the Scottish borders and across to Cumbria.

The Company

  • I am working in partnership with a premium supplier of safety solutions who is looking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager to help promote their Safety Hand Protection & Footwear solutions within the industrial safety market.
  • To further enhance their market leading position they seek a sales individual who can operate as a safety educational authority to support distributors and large multi-site end-users across the region.



The Position

Reporting into the UK Sales Director, the positions primary activities are to develop the regions distribution network through active account management of existing distribution accounts and by adding new distribution partners based upon their location and industry alignment (primarily industrial and safety).


  • The region is a strategic focus for them with sectors such as manufacturing and engineering aligning well with their hand protection solutions.
  • You will seek to convince and energise key decision makers within the distribution accounts and with their agreement motivate and train their sales force to actively sell and switch products on to the brand.
  • The other primary activity is to identify and convert large end-user opportunities utilising a "push pull" sales strategy to help feed sales back through to your distribution partners.
  • A large part of this position shall also require you to attend regional as well as National trade exhibitions and events.


The Person

  • The role would suit an individual who has strong Business Development credentials who is strategic in approach and who can forge mutually beneficial distribution partnerships.
  • Experience winning business within vertical sectors such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Automotive, Renewable Energy, and Oil & Gas would be helpful.
  • Relatable PPE experience working for a manufacturer or wholesale supplier would be ideal.
  • We can also consider senior sales individuals who may have experience working for a distributor of PPE or other industrial consumables who may be looking to transition across to become more of a specialist. Example backgrounds Arco, Rubix, Cromwell, MSC Industrial etc.
