Our Banking client is looking for a Business Support & Portfolio Management Associate to join their small team on a permanent basis in London.
Role:
The successful candidate will assist with Pre-funding - support relationship manager for credit application, including on boarding new clients, KYC, credit application preparation, system inputs and documentations; and Post Funding - managing waiver requests and amendments/variations, monitoring financial covenants, update borrower credit ratings.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Support Relationship Manager for business credit application, pre and post funding activities, including credit rating, KYC, documentation and system inputs.
- Monitoring loan performance within the structured finance portfolio. Including, projects monitoring, quarterly review, annual review, financial covenants monitoring, waiver request processing and post loan monitoring.
- Ensuring loans are compliant in terms of contractual agreements
- Regular reporting internally for loan performance.
- The key goal of this role is to ensure that the bank is able to manage a dynamic portfolio including project finance, M&A, structured finance and real asset finance. The successful candidate will work closely with risk, legal, compliance, operations and relevant departments for pre and post funding activities.
- Maintaining a keen interests and awareness of market trends in international business including trends and events in the UK and international infrastructure and M&A markets.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in loan business support or portfolio management experiences.
- Good understanding of Infrastructure and Project finance and M&A and real estate, especially sector knowledge of oil, gas, power, property and renewables.
- Good ability to understand complex financing structures and loan documentation.
- Strong technical skills and computer literacy.
- Fluent in written/spoken English and Mandarin would be a great advantage, but not essential.
