Foreman

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Freelance Foreman for a Civil Engineering contractor to work on an ongoing project in the centre of Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business, currenrtly growing their infrastructure team within the North East.

Duties Include:

• Assisting Manager (Site Agent) in delivery of schemes.
• Daily briefings with staff on site.
• Delivering HSE toolbox talks.
• Overseeing gangs on the ground in daily delivery of work.
• Monitoring H&S with audits.
• Assist with supply chain & sub-contractor management.
• Plant checks & permits for workforce.

Experience Required:

Must have:

• Experience working as a Foreman on civil engineering & infrastructure projects.
• SMSTS/SSSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person, First Aid.
• Detailed experience with: structures, Public Realm works (kerbing, drainage etc).

Remuneration:

A day rate of 250 to 300 per day is on offer for successful candidates
