Job Requirements/Description

Growth & Company have got an exciting opportunity to join our fast growing business as a Content & Community Executive.

Growth & Company is part advisor, part recruiter and part community. We work with founders, investors and boards of leading startups to define their growth strategy, then hire and train the teams to deliver it. We have supported over 100 fintech, healthtech, femtech and direct-to-consumer startups on their strategy.

We consult companies on their growth strategy - deep diving on their metrics to identify their paths to growth (marketing strategy, product strategy, new markets, new countries, fundraising.. etc..). We then advise the company how to structure their teams to deliver it. We’ll then help them hire the right people and ensure they hit the ground running.

Growth & Company runs a very active community of 300 senior marketing people. We organise in-person events, webinars and training sessions to support the career development of our members.

You’ll be joining a small and dynamic team of 4 reporting into the two partners covering three roles - supporting and expanding the community, growing our content strategy and some general admin tasks for the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented marketer to play a real part in the growth of the business and grow and develop their marketing and business skills.

Your Role in a Nutshell:

Working with the wider team you’ll be responsible for building and engaging the community slack channel, creating compelling video and written content for LinkedIn and the website.

What you can expect:

  • Support and engage our growing community, onboarding new members and creating, engaging and responding to key topics and questions on the members slack channel.
  • Building out a valuable and insightful online and in-person events calendar from networking drinks through to panel discussion and fireside chats.
  • Organising the logistics of all events from logistics (sourcing venues and catering) to setting up and promoting each event and follow up emails and surveys afterwards.
  • Writing and sending out the monthly community newsletter and sourcing feedback to provide recommendations and actions on how we can continually improve the community experience
  • Work with the wider team to build out a rolling 3 month content calendar with hot topics in marketing and recruitment and support the team in creating the written and video content to support. This will include thought leadership, case studies from candidates and clients and insights and video clips from events and community conversations.
  • Ownership of the website keeping it updated with case studies, client logos, content and events ensuring it’s optimised for SEO.
  • Preparation for key client meetings and
  • Support on basic accounting and business tasks including invoicing, contracts and diary management for team and client meetings and offsites.

What we’re looking for:

  • 1-2 years work experience in a content, community or marketing exec role in a start up or scale up business.
  • Strong writing, content and social media skills and ideally experience in editing video.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit - excited about joining a small, fast growing company and wearing multiple hats to drive growth.
  • Proactive and passionate about learning and developing your marketing skills
  • Willing to get stuck into a range of different tasks across the business
