Warehouse Technician

To ensure that works of art in Momart’s care are handled appropriately and with the utmost care, depending on medium and task in hand.

· Loading and unloading trucks using safe working practices and utilising lifting equipment appropriate to the task.

· Preparation and installation of Fine Art paintings and sculptures for viewings and photography sessions (intensive training given).

· Wrapping and packing fragile art objects (intensive training given).

· Completion of operational paperwork and use of barcode system via tablet.

· Following procedures as required by company security policy.

· Receive jobs from Supervisors and communicate through the day as necessary.

· Work closely with other technicians and drivers to the successful conclusion of jobs.

· Consolidate storage and clean and tidy the Warehouse as necessary.

· Flexible individual – hours of work may vary according to business needs.

· Confident working with others of varying experience and skillsets.

· An understanding of the fragility and importance of the items being handled.

· Well-developed numerical and analytical skills.

· An approachable communicator who is comfortable with dealing with all levels of the public.

· Conscientious individual who is positive, motivated, vigilant and responsible.

· A checkable five year background and a clean criminal record is essential.

· Demonstrates a good understanding of Momarts security programme and their role within it.

· Able to assist colleagues, customers, agents and suppliers in resolving issues and escalating where necessary.
