About the role

The Sales and Marketing Director will lead our Sales and Marketing teams across the businesses and will establish and oversee the delivery of our growth plans. The role would best suit someone who has significant experience in growing organisations, optimising pipeline acquisition and conversion, and delivering cost effective and innovative marketing campaigns to acquire new customers in both a B2B and B2C environment. Experience in real estate, hospitality or short-term rentals is an additional benefit. 


Specialist Skill Sets and Responsibilities
  • Using your analytical capability to deliver sales and marketing structures, campaigns and results across each of the three business units within UnderTheDoormat Group.
  • Creating, iterating and delivering the plans to grow each business unit leveraging the identified drivers to deliver continuous and sustainable growth. 
  • Utilising and maximising sales and marketing activities across multiple channels including website, digital, events, PR and social media (as well as traditional marketing channels in some of our businesses) that deliver measurable ROI for the business. 
  • Optimising and ensuring consistent use of the necessary tools, technology and infrastructure that is required to deliver the growth plans and ensuring their successful adoption.
  • Leading the team from the front with delivery focus to execute the growth plans for the company.
  • Leading on execution by owning the sales and marketing campaign results, all core commercial metrics, monitoring progress, and adjusting according to need to ensure we hit the customer and revenue growth targets

What we are looking for

In our rapidly scaling business, you will have the freedom to innovate, improve plans with new ideas and ensure we deliver our ambitious growth plans – and we genuinely want you to drive improvements and take the lead, not just take direction. 

Applicants should be adaptable, flexible and proactive in developing their own skills and capabilities. 

You should love the idea of playing a lead role and growing the importance of sales and marketing to the company while also being able to work independently. As a scale-up business you will also have a key role to play as a team member in helping us develop our brand, communicate our offerings to our customer segments and drive leads that convert into new business. 

You must enjoy interacting with customers and partners, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and be able to multi-task. You will often be the face (digitally, written, and in person) of the company and must be comfortable and confident this role.

Specifically;

  • 3-5 years’ experience in growing companies through the successful delivery of sales and marketing campaigns, activities and plans, optimising pipeline acquisition and conversion, and ensuring we get the visibility of the company and our brands in the market to drive long term profitable growth. This includes demonstrating ROI from the sales and marketing function to the business. 
  • Beneficial to the role is experience in real estate, hospitality or short-term rentals 
  • Someone who thrives under pressure and with frequently changing dynamics 
  • A people person who thrives on working with others and loves coaching and growing sales and marketing resources to deliver exceptional performance
  • Someone who is organised and detail orientated
  • Someone who has strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills who's energetic and focused
  • Someone who has a strong desire to understand the market, our competitors and how we can deliver effective communications to achieve exceptional results.
