Role Overview: 

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Technical Support Analyst to join our team on a contract basis, working on-site in London. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. This position requires a motivated individual who can provide exceptional technical support to our internal teams and external clients, ensuring seamless operation of all systems and applications.


Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and internal teams.

- Monitor and maintain the performance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.

- Respond promptly to support tickets, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.

- Collaborate with various teams to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions.

- Perform regular system checks and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.

- Document and track issues, solutions, and changes in a detailed and organized manner.

- Conduct user training sessions and create comprehensive support documentation.

- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and recommend improvements to current systems and processes.

- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new systems and applications.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall service delivery and user experience.


Required Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a Technical Support Analyst role or similar position.

- Strong knowledge of IT systems, software, and hardware.

- Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP), VPNs, LAN/WAN, routers, and firewalls.

- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Must come from a banking background

- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

- Familiarity with SQL and database management.

- Experience with ticketing systems like Jira, ServiceNow – logging and tracking incidents and service requests and ensuring timely resolutions.

- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.

- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).


Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with ITIL framework and incident management.

- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

- Previous experience in a financial services environment is advantageous.
