Role: EVENTS ASSISTANT for a Membership Organisation

Hybrid Working model: working at home and from head office(London Bridge). Travel across the UK when necessary.

Salary: £25,000 Pro-rata - 11 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 9 - 5.30pm

Start Date: ASAP


Overall purpose of the role

This role will suit a multitasker and well organised individual with excellent planning skills to assist the events & training team with the delivery of training and events.

Responsibilities

  • Help to ensure the rolling programme of new and established training and events runs smoothly, efficiently and to budget.
  • Assist with booking speakers and trainers for events confirming their availability and other requirements, including fees and expenses.
  • Assist with room bookings for events, courses and meetings
  • Assist with the collation of delegate requirements and the ordering of catering for meetings, events and training
  • Arrange for course materials provided by trainers and speakers to be printed, branded and distributed.
  • Arrange for sponsor and exhibitor requirements to be incorporated into the delivery of events
  • Administer venue and room requirements for training and events, such as the provision of audio-visual equipment and refreshments for delegates.
  • As and when necessary onsite delivery / management of training and events.
  • Online training and learning content.
  • Promotion of training, events and associated services.
  • Post event evaluation and reporting.

Essential

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • A methodical approach and excellent attention to detail.
  • Adaptable, creative and able to multi-task effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook products, in particular Word and Excel.
