Job Summary:

We are currently seeking flexible and compassionate Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day cover across various schools in Nottingham. This role is perfect for individuals with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who are looking for work that fits around their availability. Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored SEN support to pupils in a variety of schools on a day-to-day basis.
  • Assist with classroom tasks, managing behaviour, and providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and other additional needs.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure each pupil receives the appropriate care and support during lessons.
  • Follow individual education and behaviour plans, using positive reinforcement strategies to help pupils engage in their learning.
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and work effectively with SEN pupils in new settings.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role, working with children with special educational needs.
  • A caring, adaptable, and flexible approach, with the ability to work across multiple schools and classrooms.
  • A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) is required.
