International Tax Manager - Insurance

Pro-Tax is working with a managing agent within the London Market who are growing their tax team. We are recruiting for a broadly-focused International Tax Manager who reports directly to, and collaborates closely with, an impressive Head of Tax and various international 'heads of'.

The International Tax Manager will support with all tax compliance and advisory matters across the group, working closely with the Head of Tax in advising senior stakeholders/business units on UK & International tax issues. These shared areas of responsibility will include indirect taxes (VAT & IPT), direct/international taxes (TP, CIT, DPT) and corporate/Lloyd's tax reporting.

The business is undergoing a series of transformations, and this opportunity involves significant involvement with international and strategic projects. While tax compliance is outsourced, the nature and wide-ranging responsibilities of this team will necessitate hands-on involvement across various areas.

We expect this opportunity will be especially relevant to the ambitious and experienced Manager/Senior Manager who is looking to develop their commercial offering and lead their own in-house tax function in future years.

• ACA/CTA qualified with several years' PQE
• Substantial tax experience within the financial services (whether in-house or in practice), ideally within insurance
• Strong tax advisory and compliance experience
• Proficiency with Excel and relevant tax/finance systems. Tax technology experience advantageous.
• Lloyd's tax experience highly advantageous.
• A willingness to roll sleeves up where necessary
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The right to work permanently in the UK
