About the company

Not your usual engineering consultancy… This is a global design-focused organisation with offices across 8 different countries. The UK is home and 70% of the company’s work is delivered from its multiple offices in this country. Manchester is a big hub for them with over 100 staff in total and 27 members in the current building services team, working very closely with disciplines such as civil engineering, architecture and sustainability consulting to name a few of their other services that they offer.

They are big on architecture and design – recognised as a leader in the industry and involved with some of the largest and most iconic projects out there, including public-realm projects and smart cities. Current projects include the restoration of the palace of Westminster, Manchester college group city centre campus and Salford University. They have a huge range of projects in different sectors including heritage, aerospace and high end residential to name a few.

The successful Senior Mechanical Engineer will ideally be CIBSE qualified and will be able to independently work on their own projects, alongside a Project Director, while mentoring more Junior Building Services Engineers. There is plenty of opportunity for growth with this business having recently launched a transparent career paths scheme, ensuring clear sight of progression and what you need to do to become promoted, alongside very obviously mentoring schemes with more senior managers.
