Inclusive Consulting is delighted to be supporting a well-loved health charity during their search for a Director of Fundraising based in Leeds.


This role would suit an experienced senior fundraiser with an engaging and results focused leadership style. You must be a passionate and committed individual with fantastic relationship-building skills as you will be working with people from across the organisation regularly. You should also be proactive when it comes to professional development, and you should be committed to continuing this growth for yourself and others.


This key role would see you grow revenue streams, diversify income, and leading and empowering high-performing teams.


Reporting to the CEO, you will lead and expand the charity’s fundraising efforts, and work to expand the fundraising team’s reach and impact. You will manage 5 team leaders who will report directly to you, and you will take responsibility for setting their targets and helping develop their skills. You will also work to develop positive relationships and create a supportive environment where all employees are encouraged to share their ideas.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, review, and monitor the implementation and delivery of fundraising strategy

· Upskill, empower, and track the progress of the fundraising team and promote a culture of continuous improvement

· Maximise the impact of existing income streams, while developing new and diverse sources of income while keeping up to date with industry best practice

· Grow the reach of charity, through cultivation of trusting and authentic relationships.

· Build trusting and authentic relationships with colleagues at all levels of the charity

· Work collaboratively in developing wider organisational strategies, actively contributing to cross departmental planning and development opportunities

· Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to further enhance the organisation’s profile

· Gather and analyse key data, and use it to inform decision making

· Effectively engage with the Board of Trustees, attending and reporting departmental progress to board and sub-committee meetings


Key Attributes

· Educated to degree level or equivalent

· Experience working in a fundraising role at a senior level

· Considerable line management experience

· Experience of strategy development and implementation

· Experience of cultivating networks and increasing spheres of influence

· Track record of effective collaborative working that delivers tangible results

· Evidence of analytical data-led decision making

· Strong attention to detail

· Commitment to principles of equity, diversity and inclusion
