Our client an established industrial manufacturing business are currently looking to recruit an experienced EHS professional with a strong background of driving EHS improvements across process-based industrial manufacturing environments.


Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team you will be expected to engage at all levels of the business promoting a positive culture through strong leadership and high-levels of engagement and best practice. With a range of niche products and processes across the site, the EHS Manager will have a direct "hands-on" approach and the ability to drive Behavioural Based Safety and a "zero harm" philosophy.

Candidate Requirements:


  • Hold NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in a Senior HSE Management role, with a demonstrable track record of driving change and implementing improvements
  • Previous experience within process-based industrial manufacturing environments
  • Good understanding and knowledge of ISO9001, 14001 and 45001
  • The ability to influence at all levels of the organisation


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure legal compliance for health and safety in the workplace by conducting regular audits and inspections to make sure the highest standards are consistently maintained
  • Lead training with new and existing members of staff whilst identifying and assisting in any staff development opportunities
  • Use continuous improvement techniques to improve and sustain the health, safety & environmental performance and management system
  • Ensure incident investigations are conducted in a timely manner, including root cause analysis and corrective action is undertaken
  • Assist and support in the creation, implementation and review of Risk Assessments, safe working procedures and method statements
  • Delivery of the company Health and Safety strategy and initiates for the site
  • Review all existing company Health & Safety documentation and update accordingly in line with statutory obligations including CDM Regulations
  • Ensure all "assessments" as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspection/audits and prepare detailed H&S audit reports
  • Review of all RAMS and COSHH assessments and update where necessary
  • Ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to including the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company
