Personnel Care Assistant

Overview
Precedo Healthcare are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. This role is working with our client who resides at home with family and is able to communicate and does not use any aids.

Having recently returned home following a brain injury we are assisting the client through a support plan of rehabilitation. Our client requires lots of reassurance as has lost some confidence

It is essential that you are able to provide high-quality levels of support. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care, ensuring they receive the assistance they need with daily activities while promoting their independence and dignity.

Duties

• Assist our client with basic personal care tasks, mostly through prompting.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist our client to their preferred activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation., this might be Gym- Coffee shop other Social Groups.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Drive our client using your own vehicle to appointments or social outings as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport. Mileage will be paid , you will require business insurance.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care or a similar role is essential; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately.
• Strong clear communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients and families.
• A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as needed.
• IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and communicating with team members effectively.
• A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
