Architectural Technician

Architectural Technologist/ Laser Scanner, based in Head Office - Bermondsey

Podium is a company of Building Surveyors / Building Surveying Consultants, supported by an Office Manager the company is based in Bermondsey.

The team are a very friendly but busy bunch. This role would suit someone who is proactive, organised, and able to work independently.

The business has the following core areas of work:

·       Employers Agent (New Build)

·       Contract Administration (Refurbishment)

·       Design

·       Party Wall

·       Planning and Building Control advice and applications

·       Fire safety advice, fire risk assessments, cladding reports, and the design and management of the resultant remedial work

·       Building Safety advice, including structural works

·       Health and safety (CDM)

The role would suit an enthusiastic and confident Architectural Technologist who is good at dealing with clients and wishes to develop their career in a young and enthusiastic company.

Ideally the applicant will be an experienced Architectural Technologist with suitable qualifications and/or experience in this field. The successful applicant will need to have current experience in construction design and be competent at CAD, all other training will be provided.

We have also recently purchased a 3D laser scanner which we will be using on site to complete accurate scans of existing buildings, for our clients. This data will then be used to produce as-built drawings of our client’s buildings for planning applications, building control applications and design purposes.

The successful candidate will need to integrate into the team and so a friendly/helpful disposition will be important.

The role will involve some travel, all within the UK.
