Senior Associate Consultant (Pensions Actuarial)

Salary: Up to £70,000

Level: 4+ years (nearly or recently qualified)

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh

Working pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week in office)

Our client is a leading UK consulting firm with a collaborative and team-oriented environment, seeking a nearly or recently qualified actuary with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.

The Senior Associate Consultant will be a key individual within the team.

Responsibilities may include actuarial valuation calculations, collaborating with the trustee and corporate team on various projects, providing general consultancy by addressing client and third-party queries with technical advice, managing client relationships by overseeing work allocation, and working directly with senior client team members.

The Senior Associate Consultant will have the option to move laterally within the business and gain exposure to a variety of different areas including de-risking/risk settlement, buy-in/buyout projects, ALM, liability management, mergers and acquisitions, and more. This is a truly varied opportunity.

What your background should look like:

• 4+ years in a relevant pensions actuarial role
• Nearly or recently FIA/FFA qualified (or awaiting PPD sign-off for FIA status)
• Strong working knowledge of UK DB pension schemes and relevant technical actuarial methods
• Excellent team, organisational and communication skills

You must be a UK-based nearly or recently qualified actuary or awaiting PPD sign-off to be considered for this role.
