Customer Focused Engineer

Expleo are seeking an Automotive Customer Focused Engineer in UX (User Experience), Switches and Controls, to work within a globally successful automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis.

The successful Engineer will be required to conduct a number of market studies, investigating overall customer requirements, behaviours and latest technologies.

Responsibilities of the Customer Focused Engineer include:

Define requirements from a customer's point of view
Establish customer target requirements, including, but not limited to In-vehicle-Infotainment systems, storage solutions, controls, switches & displays
Analyse European Automotive market trends and customer usage patterns
Produce Market / Trend / Engineering Test reports & Benchmark Reports
Create documentation in response to customer use cases and needs

Background and experience required for the Customer Focused Engineer position:

You will ideally be degree educated
Experience within the Automotive Industry
Customer focused, with knowledge of European Driving & Car usage behaviour
Understanding of vehicle development and performance
Appreciation and knowledge of usability and ergonomic principles
Microsoft Office skills

A full driving licence valid for driving in the UK is essential and flexibility to Travel is required, within the role of Customer Focused Engineer.
