Role Overview: As a Design Technology and Art Technician Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Design Technology and Art departments. You will be responsible for the preparation of materials, maintenance of equipment, and providing technical support to both teachers and students. Your expertise will enhance our students' learning experiences, inspiring them to explore their creativity and develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up equipment and materials for lessons in Design Technology and Art.
• Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons, providing technical guidance to students.
• Maintain and organize workshop and studio spaces, ensuring a safe and effective working environment.
• Support students in practical projects, offering advice and expertise on techniques and processes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and innovative projects.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all practical areas.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications in Design Technology, Art, or a related field.
• Experience working in a secondary school setting or similar environment is desirable.
• Strong technical skills in areas such as woodworking, metalworking, textiles, or digital design.
• QTS, PGCE or an equivalent qualification is a must have for this position.
